What Happend to Chi Ali?
In the early 90′s Chi Ali was a member of the legendary Native Tongues crew at the young age of fourteen. He released a solo album called ‘The Fabulous Chi-Ali’, in my opinion it had some classic material on it (check Age Ain’t Nothing But a # after the jump), but after that Chi Ali faded into the background like so many of the Hip-Hop artist that were exploited during the days of the big record labels.
In 2000 everyone in the Hip Hop community was surprised to see Chi Ali featured on Americas Most Wanted in an extensive manhunt stemmed from second-degree murder charge. After evading the Police for a little over a year Chi Ali was arrested and convected of shooting his victim.
Chi Ali was sentenced to a fourteen years in a maximum security prison, and thats where John Walsh would love to end the story, but thanks to Harold Budd, Keith Lowe and Espi we get a view into the current world of Chi Ali.

John Doe is an original member of Cincinnati’s 1200 Hobos DJ crew, and is a tested and well respected battle DJ.
Hopefully this is a warning shot for to all the DJ’s who haven’t paid there dues.

A Tribe Called Quest Documentary
In 2008 Q-Tip, Phife, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi reunited as A Tribe Called Quest after a long breakup for the Rock The Bells Tour. Actor turned director Mike Rapaport most famous (at least in my mind) as Remy in the 1995 flick Higher Learning, and his team followed the Tribe and caught some of the problems, and past issues that the group.
